Vintage 1960s kimono robe in royal blue Ro silk with a yellow floral shibori pattern. Ro silk is woven by twisting and skipping some threads, creating an open striped effect in the weave, and giving it a chiffon gauze like quality to the fabric. Not lined, it is perfect for summer weather. It comes with simple ribbon sash.
It is in good condition, there are some spots though they are fairly close to the tone of the fabric and blend well, see the last photo.
Please note: This kimono is 100% pure silk. Ro weaving creates a fabric that is more slick on the surface and feels different, more like a chiffon or organza gauze. It does not feel like what you may think of as traditional silk.
