Vintage silk kimono robe in purple and white floral floral print. Dating from the 1930s. o silk is woven by twisting and skipping some threads, creating an open striped effect in the weave, and giving it a gauze like quality to the fabric. Not lined, it is perfect for summer weather. It comes with handmade silk sash. It is in very good condition, there are some tiny pinholes down the back center seam, see last photo.
Please note: This kimono is 100% pure silk. Ro weaving creates a fabric that is more slick on the surface and feels different, more like a chiffon or organza gauze. It does not feel like what you may think of as traditional silk.
