This is an adorable vintage short kimono jacket or happi coat from the 1940s. Made of purple meisen silk with a dotted pattern, it is lined in silk, has an inner side tie and covered button rosettes on the right hip at the outer side tie. It has a couple dots of fading and two lines of light wear to the silk, see last photo.
Measurements are approximate, taken flat and then doubled where necessary.
Sleeve to sleeve width across shoulder: 51 inches cuff to cuff
Sleeve length: 16 inches
Length from shoulder to hem: 29 inches
Around body when measured laying flat and overlapped (but not tied): 48 inches - this will fit actual body size that is much smaller once tied shut and depends on how tightly they are tied.
