Vintage 1950s silk kimono robe in grey and white ombre with a floral print. Not lined, it is semi-sheer and good for warm climate. Includes a simple satin ribbon sash. This is called Ro silk, which is woven by twisting threads and skipping alternate threads, creating an open striped effect in the weave, and giving it a gauze like quality to the fabric. In good condition. There are some scattered marks, see last photo. Priced at a discount and sold as is.
Please note: This kimono is 100% pure silk. Ro weaving creates a fabric that is more slick on the surface and feels different, more like gauze. It does not feel like what you may think of as traditional silk.
