Vintage 1960s Lace and Satin Bridal Gown with Veil
Vintage Clothing and Kimonos are not sized the same as modern manufactured clothing. Everything sold by ThisBlueBird will include actual garment measurements in inches. When choosing an item please refer to the measurements and compare them with a similar style garment you already own. Please note the measurements are actual garment measurements and you must leave 2 to 3 inches between your actual measurements and the garment for ease of movement.
The charts on this page are here to assist you in understanding how vintage clothing and kimonos are measured and where you should measure on your body.
This is a lovely vintage late 1960s to early 1970s wedding dress. It is made of white Duchesse Satin with a lace overlay. Sheer long sleeves with puffed shoulders. Scoop neckline with wide pointed collar. It has nylon zippers at the back and the cuffs. There is a narrow train that attaches at the back waist with hook/eye clasps. It comes with a hair comb double-layer tulle veil with faux pearl trim. The back layer of the veil has satin trim.
It is in almost very good to excellent condition. There are just a few water spots and very light surface spots near the hem, these should come out with professional cleaning. See last photo.
There are no tags in this dress, unsure if it was custom made or home sewn. The veil may not be original to the dress, it is difficult to tell.

ABOUT VINTAGE CLOTHING SIZES
Vintage clothing sizes run smaller than modern clothing sizes and there is no industry standard sizing chart for modern women's clothing. When purchasing vintage clothes, it is important to know your own true body measurements and compare those to the garment measurements provided. Please take a moment to review this chart on how to take your own body measurements, so you can correctly determine if this item will fit you. Be sure to always leave several inches between your measurements and the garment measurement for proper fit and ease of movement. Returns due to improper fit will not be approved.
