1950s Vintage Pastel Striped Cotton Day Dress
Vintage Clothing and Kimonos are not sized the same as modern manufactured clothing. Everything sold by ThisBlueBird will include actual garment measurements in inches. When choosing an item please refer to the measurements and compare them with a similar style garment you already own. Please note the measurements are actual garment measurements and you must leave 2 to 3 inches between your actual measurements and the garment for ease of movement.
The charts on this page are here to assist you in understanding how vintage clothing and kimonos are measured and where you should measure on your body.
Adorable late 1940s to early 1950s New Look day dress in pastel purple, aqua and yellow striped cotton. It has a fitted pleated waist and short sleeves. There are buttons above the waist and a side metal zipper. The hem is very wide and could be let down to add length, see left side of last photo for picture of the hem width.
Dress is in excellent condition, there is one old mend along the dart under one arm and there is a natural slub in the cotton on the front, this is not damage, but part of the weaving process, both shown in last photo
