Vintage 1930s Wedding Dress / Bias Cut Dress Ivory Silk Satin Gown
Vintage Clothing and Kimonos are not sized the same as modern manufactured clothing. Everything sold by ThisBlueBird will include actual garment measurements in inches. When choosing an item please refer to the measurements and compare them with a similar style garment you already own. Please note the measurements are actual garment measurements and you must leave 2 to 3 inches between your actual measurements and the garment for ease of movement.
The charts on this page are here to assist you in understanding how vintage clothing and kimonos are measured and where you should measure on your body.
Absolutely stunning vintage 1930s wedding dress. Bias cut ivory silk satin, wide pointed collar, sleeveless with partially open back. Side snaps and hook/eye at the collar. There is no original slip included. The fabric is not sheer but a slip would help hide undergarments and maintain a smooth bias drape. It is in very good condition, there is little wear to the satin just below the collar, one tiny pinhole on the back lower left side, a faint mark above the hem and some light water spots, see these in the last photo.
No tags. Dress is shown on a US size 0 dress form. Measurements below are unstretched, taken flat and doubled where necessary. As this is bias cut there will be a little stretch to this fabric that will allow for an additional inch or so in the measurements.
