Vintage 1930s Ivory Bias Cut Satin and Lace Wedding Gown
Vintage Clothing and Kimonos are not sized the same as modern manufactured clothing. Everything sold by ThisBlueBird will include actual garment measurements in inches. When choosing an item please refer to the measurements and compare them with a similar style garment you already own. Please note the measurements are actual garment measurements and you must leave 2 to 3 inches between your actual measurements and the garment for ease of movement.
The charts on this page are here to assist you in understanding how vintage clothing and kimonos are measured and where you should measure on your body.
This is a gorgeous vintage 1930s wedding dress. Ivory bias cut satin with a lace collar. Long sleeves with lace trim and covered buttons at the wrists. Attached belt at the waist with satin covered buckle. The back forms a small train. It is in very good condition structurally, no holes or tears. However, there is very light wear to the satin in the skirt and the edges of the buckle, a few light marks throughout, one missing button on the cuff and light underarm discoloration. See last photo.
No tags. Dress is shown on a US size 0 dress form. Measurements below are unstretched, taken flat and doubled where necessary. As this is bias cut, there will be a little stretch to this fabric that should allow for an additional inch or two in the measurements.
