Beautiful antique silk kimono from 1915 to 1920. Made of ombre dyed silk that transitions from apricot to bright orange and embroidered with butterflies and the traditional Mons crests. It has very long graceful sleeves. It is lined in a layer of natural cotton muslin and a layer of orange silk. The hem is lightly padded. It includes the matching silk obi sash with long fringe and butterfly embroidery.
This set is in overall good condition considering the age. On the exterior there are a few faint spots on the sleeve and a few small holes here and there. However, the silk layer of interior lining is shattered and needs to be removed or replaced. See the last photo for these images.
✥ It has been professionally dry cleaned and would make a vibrant display piece.
Measurements are approximate, taken flat and then doubled where necessary.
