1960s Vintage Kimono Japanese Happi Coat Kimono
Vintage Clothing and Kimonos are not sized the same as modern manufactured clothing. Everything sold by ThisBlueBird will include actual garment measurements in inches. When choosing an item please refer to the measurements and compare them with a similar style garment you already own. Please note the measurements are actual garment measurements and you must leave 2 to 3 inches between your actual measurements and the garment for ease of movement.
The charts on this page are here to assist you in understanding how vintage clothing and kimonos are measured and where you should measure on your body.
Very nice vintage 1960s Happi Coat / short robe from Japan. Brought back by my boyfriend's step-father after serving in the military. Includes matching waist tie. In very good to excellent condition. Tag is a bit frayed and is held flat with a pin for the photo.
No size tag. Tag reads 36" length but measures a little smaller as it has probably shrunk a bit over the years. Made in Japan. Measurements are approximate, taken flat and then doubled where necessary, see diagram on last photo to understand how measurements are taken.
