This is a gorgeous black cocktail dress from the early 1960s. Narrow straps, lovely scoop neckline, back metal zipper, attached belt snaps in back, hourglass shape with a lightly gathered narrow waist. Made by Burke Amey NYC for Montaldo's in what feels like a polyester blend. This dress is in excellent condition.
There is no size tag and no stretch to this fabric. The measurements listed below were taken while laying flat and doubled where appropriate.
Bust - 36 Waist - 25 Hips - 40 Length of bodice from shoulder to waist seam - 15 Length of skirt from waist to hem - 26
NOTE:: Shown on a size 4 dress form, unpinned. This dress would best fit a size 6 US, possibly up to a size 8. Please pay close attention to the measurements, there is no stretch at all to this fabric.
