Vintage 1920s silk crepe kimono robe in red and white shibori floral print. This was once a full length juban kimono that has been shortened in the past. It has very long sleeves, lined in white cotton muslin. It has a muslin lapel and a short pale pink silk half-haneri collar attached. It is in excellent condition considering the age, there is some discoloration to the pink haneri collar and one area of faint discoloration on the end of one sleeve and there is a spot of wear to the cotton muslin inside the back of the neck. See photos.
There is at least 4 to 5 inches of additional length which can be gained if the hem were to be let out of this kimono.
Measurements are approximate, taken flat and then doubled where necessary. See last photo for diagram to explain how measurements are taken.
Note - This is a VERY small kimono!! It is much smaller even than most of the 1920s era haori kimono jackets are.
It is shown on a size 4 dress form but would best fit smaller than a size 4. This will probably *only fit* by hanging open in front on the body, not wrapped and cinched at the waist.
Around body: 32 inches (81.28 cm) when flat and overlapped as in the diagram <-- Very small Length from shoulder to hem: 35 inches (88.9 cm) Sleeve to sleeve width: 44 inches (111.78 cm) Sleeve length: 24 inches (60.96 cm)
