1920s Vintage Silk Kimono Robe / Phoenix Birds
Vintage Clothing and Kimonos are not sized the same as modern manufactured clothing. Everything sold by ThisBlueBird will include actual garment measurements in inches. When choosing an item please refer to the measurements and compare them with a similar style garment you already own. Please note the measurements are actual garment measurements and you must leave 2 to 3 inches between your actual measurements and the garment for ease of movement.
The charts on this page are here to assist you in understanding how vintage clothing and kimonos are measured and where you should measure on your body.
Absolutely stunning vintage 1920s silk kimono robe with brightly colored phoenix bird print on a rinzu woven background of tiny birds. It comes with a sash that I have hand made from vintage kimono silk remnants. It is lined in ivory silk. It is in exceptionally good condition for it's age, there are a few faint spots here and there, primarily they are on the sleeves. There are some spots on the lining which are not visible when wearing, see photos.
This is a very small size kimono. It would best fit size XXS to XS and petite height. Shown on a size 0 US dress form.
Measurements are approximate, taken flat and then doubled where necessary. See last photo for diagram to explain how measurements are taken.
