This is a vintage silk satin pajama loungewear set from the 1920s. Made of very pale sage green silk satin with embroidered trim and lined in peach silk satin. The embroidery is a combination of peach and cream silk thread and a copper/bronze colored metal wire thread.
Set includes a jacket, camisole top and pants. The jacket has a total of 14 long silk tassels! Eight on the front and 3 at each side. There are no buttons or closures, the jacket is meant to hang open in front. The camisole has small pockets in front and small covered buttons on the side that will cinch in just a bit at the hip if buttoned. The pants have an elastic waist at the back and tiny loops at the hips for hanging.
The set is in quite good condition given its age. I would say it is still wearable but delicate. It would make a great display piece too. The tassels have been re-stitched at least a few times over the years and they have also been reinforced on the inside with small buttons. There are a few tiny holes and thin areas in the satin and a few faint spots. See the 4th and 5th photo for these.
Measurements are approximate, taken flat and doubled where necessary. Shown on a size 4 US dress form. The jacket and camisole are not pinned but the pants are clipped in the back for the photo. This would best fit a size 2 to 4 US. Note: The camisole is a very small bust size and has no zipper or buttons to open so it must slip on over the head and shoulders. The pants would accommodate a larger waist/hip size due to the elastic.
