Cute vintage 1950s black cocktail dress. Very fitted New Look shape. Scoop neck, mid-length sleeves, Bow detail at front and back waist. Bodice is made of satin and skirt is made of crepe. Skirt portion is fully lined in a very light weight material. Back metal zipper. Excellent condition.
Made in the USA by Jobere. Looks like vintage tag size 8 but this fits a much smaller modern size. Best fit for XS to Small based on hip measurements. Refer to measurements and leave appropriate room for ease of movement. There is absolutely no stretch to this fabric.
Size notes: The hips are very narrow compared to the bust size. Your hips will need to be smaller than 36 inches around the fullest point in order to have room to sit, and get in and out of a car. Be prepared to need the bodice and waist altered to accommodate your overall size. The sleeve openings, and sleeves themselves, are quite small, your upper arm will need to be smaller than 11 inches around, otherwise the sleeves will fit very tight.
