Vintage silk kimono robe in blue and white abstract grass print. Dating from the 1950s. Ro silk is woven by twisting and skipping some threads, creating an open striped effect in the weave, and giving it a gauze like quality to the fabric. Not lined, it is perfect for warmer weather. It comes with simple printed sash. It is in excellent condition.
Please note: This kimono is 100% pure silk. Ro weaving creates a fabric that is more slick on the surface and feels different, more like a chiffon or organza gauze. It does not feel like what you may think of as traditional silk.
