Vintage silk kimono robe in a blue-grey-purple and white dragonfly print. Dating from the 1950s. Ro silk is woven by twisting and skipping some threads, creating an open striped effect in the weave, and giving it a gauze like quality to the fabric. Not lined, it is perfect for warmer weather. It comes with simple printed sash. It is in excellent condition.
Please note: This kimono is 100% pure silk. Ro weaving creates a fabric that is more slick on the surface and feels different, more like a chiffon or organza gauze. It does not feel like what you may think of as traditional silk.
