This is a vintage 1970s Uchikake wedding kimono in emerald green silk that is heavily embroidered in gold, red, and blue. Fully lined and doubled lined at the lapel, sleeves and lower half. The hem of both green kimono and red double lining are thickly padded in silk batting. The edges of the sleeves are also padded with silk. As with allmost all double lined kimonos, the secondary lining is only lightly tacked in with basting style stitches. Includes the handmade silk sash shown. It is in very good condition. Both sleeve seams have visible machine mending, there are some scattered marks on the orange part of the lapel, some light marks on the white lining, and there is an old mend on the orange lining just above the hem. See last two photos.
This is a heavy kimono due to the additional lining fabric and padded hem.
