Antique kimono robe from the 1930s in black silk crepe with a peach and red flying crane and traditional drum pattern, and a padded hem. The pattern extends to the inside of the lining as well. Having all five family crests, this is a Kuro Tomesode kimono and it would have been worn only on special formal occasions. Fully lined in white rayon, and includes a handmade silk sash as shown. In excellent condition for the age, there are a few scattered marks, see last photo. Note that the rayon lining might not be original, it may have been a later replacement.
