Antique kimono robe from the 1900-1920 in black silk crepe with an extensive painted pattern of flowers and fans, with gold embroidered chasing, and a lightly padded hem. Having all five family crests, this is a Kuro Tomesode kimono and it would have been worn only on special formal occasions. Fully lined in red silk and includes a handmade silk sash as shown. In very good condition for the age, there are a few small snags and scattered water spots that are not easily seen unless the light hits just right. There is very mild fading overall which is only noticeable around some of the crests, see last photo.
