Vintage Silk Kimono Robe / Black & Blue Leaves Print / 1920s 1930s

Vintage silk kimono robe in black and light blue leaves print. Dating from the late 1920s to 1930s, this is called Ro silk, it is very light weight and semi-sheer. Ro is woven by twisting and skipping some threads, creating an open striped effect in the weave, and giving a gauze like quality to the fabric. It is very smooth and slick on the surface, and it is unlike any other style of silk weave. This kimono is not lined, it is perfect for warm summer weather. It will include the handmade sash as shown in the photos. It is in good condition, it is wearable, but please note that there are scattered marks and discoloration, see examples in last the photo.

Note this is a smaller sized kimono, if worn wrapped and tied shut, this is best fit up to a size medium based on hip measurement.
