Vintage olive drab green US Army shirt from the late 60s to early 1970s. On the back a one-of-a-kind embroidery design of the Statue of Liberty, along with a quote from the Emma Lazarus sonnet The New Colossus, "I lift my lamp beside the golden door." Lazarus wrote the sonnet in 1883 to help raise money for the construction of the statue's pedestal. The shirt is made of cotton sateen. It features flap pockets and button front. In good condition showing typical light fading from use.
Made for the United States Army. No size tag. Fits like a modern women's medium. There is no stretch to this fabric. Best
