Lovely vintage 1940s day dress made of novelty print cotton. Pleating under the bust and decorative center tie. The tie slips out of the button hole and could be replaced with a nice large button if desired. Side metal zipper and front patch pockets. Not lined. This is a nice heavier weight twill cotton. Dress is in excellent condition apart from two spots right at the top of the shoulders, shown in last photo.
There are no tags. The dress is shown on a modern US size 12 dress form and was not pinned or clipped. It was very loose on the size 12 form, and would best fit a US size 14 to 16, or possibly 18 based on your own measurements.
