Vintage 1920s Black Velvet Flapper Dress with Slip

Fabulous vintage 1920s dress and slip. The dress is made of black silk velvet with silk damask trim. It has a drop waist fit with bias cut velvet on the skirt. Deep cross over v-neckline, snaps a the cuffs and pin tucks at the back of the neck. The skirt portion seems draped or gathered more in front to be slightly fuller. The dress is not lined. This dress comes with a 1920s cotton slip from France. The slip is not original to the dress but is from the era and works well with it. The slip is cotton with a straight bodice line, nonadjustable straps and embroidery details.

The dress is in excellent condition and shows minor wear, no open seams and no tears. The slip is in excellent condition.
