Fantastic, one of a kind, vintage 1940s evening gown in a blue, green and gold Chinese dragon print rayon. Bodice is lined, skirt is semi-sheer. Gathered waist. Tiny crossover straps that attach with buttons above a back metal zipper. The straps are not adjustable but could be altered to add more button holes to shorten. Current buttonholes are at the ends of the strap fabric. Apart from one tiny pinhole near the zipper, this dress is in excellent condition. See last photo.
No tags. This was a bespoke or home sewn dress. Shown on an XXS dress form clipped in the back for shape. Probably best fit for a size 2 to 4, possibly a 6 with smaller bust. There is absolutely no stretch to this fabric. Refer to measurements and leave room for ease of movement.
