Admire this captivating vintage piece, a silk kimono robe from the late 1930s to early 1940s. Blissful blue, white, and red semi-sheer ro silk is adorned with an enchanting leaf print. Ro silk is woven by twisting and skipping some threads, creating an open striped effect in the weave, and giving it a chiffon gauze like quality to the fabric. Not lined, it is light weight and perfect for summer weather or warmer climates. Includes a simple satin ribbon sash. It is in good condition, but there are small scattered spots and small areas of light wear to the silk, see examples in photo.

Please note: This kimono is 100% pure silk. Ro weaving creates a fabric that is more slick on the surface and feels different, more like a chiffon or organza gauze. It does not feel like what you may think of as traditional silk. Since this kimono is older, the silk is very light weight, even compared to more recent Ro silk, this one is very thin and light.

Measurements are approximate, taken flat and then doubled where necessary.

Around body - 48 inches
Length from shoulder to hem - 59 inches
