- For orders being shipped to a Missouri address, applicable sales tax will be included at checkout.
- For international orders, all local customs duties, taxes and tariffs are the buyer's responsibility and may be collected upon delivery dependent on your specific country laws.
- Layaway is only available when purchasing directly through ThisBlueBird.com.
- Layaway is provided through Lay-Buy by PayPal.
- 50% is due at the date of purchase, with two additional installments over the following two months.
- Installment Due notification invoices will be sent to you via PayPal/Lay-Buy.
- Once the final payment is made, your order will be shipped.
- Once your order has been shipped, you will receive an email from ThisBlueBird with your shipping confirmation and tracking number.
- All sales are final and there are no refunds on canceled layaway items that have not been fully paid for.
- To put your item(s) on layaway follow these steps
- Put all items you will to place on layaway into your cart. Do not mix items that you plan to pay in full today, please place a separate order online.
- When viewing your cart, click CHECKOUT button
- Enter your address information and continue
- On the payment screen click LAY-BUY button
- You will be taken to Lay-Buy site to complete the payment information.
EXPRESS SHIPPING UPGRADE ORDERS MUST BE PLACED BY 12:00 NOON CENTRAL STANDARD TIME (GMT -6) MONDAY THROUGH THURSDAY. EXPRESS ORDERS PLACED AFTER 12:00 CST OR ON FRIDAY THROUGH SUNDAY WILL BE SHIPPED ON THE NEXT BUSINESS DAY.
- Orders are normally shipped within 24-48 hours of purchase, Monday-Friday.
- For shipping time estimates, "Business Days" are considered to be Monday through Friday.
SHIPPING WITHIN THE USA AND PUERTO RICO:
- We ship via USPS Priority Mail.
- In very rare instances, such as on antique garments or items of a very high value, a courier service such as FedEx or DHL will be required.
- A shipping upgrade is available to USPS Priority Express Mail. -- Upgrade choice with delivery time estimate and price is visible once you have your items in the shopping cart.
- Please allow 3 - 7 business days for all US orders.
- In certain shipping situations, and on items over $100, we may choose to require a signature at the time of delivery. This is occasionally necessary for the safe arrival of your order.
INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING (outside the USA and Puerto Rico):
- Standard shipping on all orders going outside the USA and Puerto Rico is via USPS 1st Class International Package Service.
- In very rare instances, such as on antique garments or items of a very high value, a courier service such as FedEx or DHL will be required and all associated customs brokerage fees are the buyer's responsibility to pay upon arrival.
- Shipping upgrades are available to USPS International Priority Mail or USPS Priority Express Mail. -- Upgrade choices with delivery time estimates and prices are visible once you have your items in the shopping cart.
- Please allow 2-6 weeks for all international orders, although most orders arrive within 15 business days.
- Within the EU - Customers in ITALY AND GREECE can expect any shipping method to take significantly longer due to the local customs policies.
- For all destinations outside of the UK, EU, Canada, Australia and New Zealand - Customers can expect any shipping method to take significantly longer due to the local customs policies.
- Buyers are responsible for all Customs, Taxes or Tariffs imposed by the local authorities upon arrival at the destination.
- All items will be listed as Merchandise and nothing will be marked "Gift." The true contents and actual sale value of the items and shipping fees paid will be listed on all Customs documents and insurance declarations as required by United States law.
Delivery Confirmation and Tracking Status updates beyond the United States are only available for select countries. Review the most current list of eligible countries at http://www.usps.com/eligible-countries.htm
- Damaged items must be returned to us within 3 business days. Please contact us prior to returning to obtain the return address. Please do not automatically return anything without contacting us first. We will provide the correct address for returns.
- You will be refunded via the original purchase method.
Refunds and Exchanges
- All sales are final on Wedding Dresses, SALE section items, and certain other items. No returns or exchanges. On non-SALE items, the description will clearly state that the sale is final.
- All requests for returns of all other items will be reviewed individually. We are absolutely committed to good customer service so please do not hesitate to contact us if you have an issue with your order! We are happy to discuss it and work with you to come to a good solution so you are happy with your experience.
- Please do not automatically return something without contacting us first. We need to collect some information from you and provide other information to you regarding the return.
- Much time and effort goes in to taking clear photographs and taking full and accurate measurements. Please review all photos and listing information prior to purchase and feel free to ask as many questions as you like to ensure you will be pleased with your order.
- Please keep in mind, the older the item, generally the more fragile it is. Some items may be suitable for light wear only and some for display only, the listing will indicate as much.
- On Japanese Kimono, Haori and Michiyuki, please click here to view the size and fit diagrams of exactly how measurements are taken on these garments. On all other garment types, you may scroll down and refer to the measurement guidelines below.
- Returns due to improper fit will not be accepted. All listings include detailed actual garment measurements, please pay close attention these and allow enough additional room to feel comfortable when wearing the garment. If you have questions about fit, need additional measurements or photos please contact us, we are happy to provide more information on anything in the shop.
- On approved returns, all items must be shipped back within 3 days and in the same condition in which they were purchased, with all tags attached and buyers are responsible for all return shipping fees and insurance. Items that are returned without insurance and are damaged in shipment will not be refunded.
- Shipping charges are non-refundable.
- Refunds will be processed through the original payment method after the item has been received in our office.

All items are described and photographed as accurately as possible. Please inspect all photos carefully before making a purchase, you can click on any photo on a listing and view it close up. Please see the Condition Chart below under Additional Information.

ThisBlueBird™ uses the Vintage Fashion Guild Garment Condition Standards. Each listing will indicate a specific condition listed here:
- Mint/Perfect - As new, with absolutely no flaws or wear.
- Excellent - Used, with no noticeable flaws.
- Very Good - Used, with minor flaws, no repairs needed.
- Good - Visible wear. Minor flaws and/or optional repairs needed.
- Fair - Numerous flaws, repairs needed, fragile.
- Poor/Study - Extensive damage. For display or study only.
