1930s Vintage Silk Kimono SKIRT / Japanese Susoyoke

9002803

Lovely vintage 1930s silk wrap skirt. This is called a Susoyoke and is the bottom half of an undergarment meant to wear under a Japanese kimono. The skirt has ties at the waist. It does not taper to the waist so it will gather under the ties. It is in excellent condition apart from a couple faint spots, see last photo.

Measurements are approximate, taken flat and then doubled where necessary. See diagram to explain how measurements are taken.

Total width of fabric not including the ties - 50 inches
Length - 36 inches

Care: Professional Dry Clean.

Size Info & Charts

Vintage Clothing and Kimonos are not sized the same as modern manufactured clothing.  Everything sold by ThisBlueBird will include actual garment measurements in inches.  When choosing an item please refer to the measurements and compare them with a similar style garment you already own. Please note the measurements are actual garment measurements and you must leave 2 to 3 inches between your actual measurements and the garment for ease of movement.

The charts on this page are here to assist you in understanding how vintage clothing and kimonos are measured and where you should measure on your body.
