This is a vintage 80s to 90s silk kimono robe in ivory with purple shibori dyed pattern. Ro silk is woven by twisting threads and skipping alternate threads, creating an open striped effect in the weave, and giving it a gauze like quality to the fabric. Not lined, it is perfect for warmer weather. It comes with simple satin ribbon sash. It is in excellent condition apart from one tiny spot on the lapel, see last photo.
Please note: This kimono is 100% pure silk. Ro weaving creates a fabric that is more slick on the surface and feels different, more like gauze. It does not feel like what you may think of as traditional silk.
